Information for members

Membership Renewal for 2024 is now open.

The committee have made the following changes to membership management for the club so that we are better able to secure and manage members’ personal data, subscriptions and payments to the club.

All membership information, subscriptions and payments will be managed through WebCollect, a club management system to which we are now subscribers. The first service we have set up is membership management for all existing members to use for 2024 membership.

In order to collect membership data correctly, we are asking members to add their membership details directly within WebCollect. This will require you to become a WebCollect user and a Clwb Hwylio Llyn Brenig Sailing Club member on the WebCollect platform.
There are four steps to membership that need to be completed.

  1. First, you must set up a WebCollect membership.
  2. Second, you will need to subscribe to your annual membership (club fees)
  3. Third, you will need to subscribe to your boat storage needs.
  4. Fourth, you must pay for your subscriptions with a card through Paypal or your banking app.

To access WebCollect please use this link WebCollect it will open in a new window.
We have also produced a how to guide to help you through the process which can be viewed here

Club boats for members’ use

Please note: Junior Boats are free to use after a Level 1 RYA course has been passed.

The Laser Pico dinghy is a small sailboat designed by Jo Richards in the mid-1990s and used primarily for training and day sailing. It can be crewed by one or two children or an adult. Current models come equipped with both a mainsail and a jib. (Six boats available.)

The Challenger Class is a single-handed trimaran, which is sailed and raced throughout the UK. The Class was designed by noted multi-hull designer Rod McAlpine Downie, specifically to allow those with disabilities to sail and race independently and on equal terms with able-bodied sailors. The fact that it does not heel over or capsize makes it particularly suitable for those with low upper body strength and balance.

The Topper Xenon is a fast fun double handed racing dinghy for youth and adult sailors. Please not that there is a £5.00 hire charge for using a Xenon for the day. (Three boats available.)

There is a £5.00 hire charge for using the Topper Xenons.
